Companion Planting

The Annual Gardening Series, sponsored by the Bethel Garden Club, continues tonight!
What is companion planting? It is the best way to arrange your plantings to enhance growth, encourage pollinators, discourage pests, and improve soil. There is scientific proof that some vegetables and herbs are simply better together! And some are not. In this eye-opening talk, you will learn the tried-and-true gardening technique of companion planting so you can achieve your goal of a healthy, productive garden!
Presenter Karen Brown completed the Master Gardener program in 2019 and enjoys gardening at the Brookfield Lions Club Community Garden, the Victory Garden in Newtown, CT, and the UCONN Extension Master Gardener's Demo Garden in Bethel, CT. She grows herbs and vegetables, donating most of what she has grown to the local food pantries in Brookfield and Newtown.
