Description

The Annual Gardening Series, sponsored by the Bethel Garden Club, concludes tonight!

Gain an understanding of why watersheds are key to protecting the environment; and learn about the simple, affordable, low-impact-development actions that homeowners can take to protect our water supply. If we each do our own small part, our actions can make a big difference in keeping watersheds healthy and providing a good habitat for wildlife.

Presenter Cynthia Rabinowitz has been a practicing soil and wetland scientist for 44 years and is a Certified Permaculture Design Consultant. She served as County Agriculture and Community Resource Development Agent for UCONN’s Cooperative Extension System; owned and operated a commercial greenhouse; taught in graduate programs at SCSU and University of New Haven; and guest-lectured at The Graduate Institute. After working as Executive Director and Soil/Wetland Scientist for the Northwest Conservation District (NWCD), she now focuses on inland wetlands, watershed health, and climate resiliency for NWCD.
